Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team News
The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team were called out by West Yorkshire Police just after 2pm today to search for an 80-year-old lady who had gone missing from an address near Pontefract.
The team was called out by West Yorkshire Police at 12.41pm on 14th May for a missing person search in the Liversedge area of West Yorkshire.
The team was called out to assist a walker lost on Black Hill. Initially the walker was in touch with Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team who tried to talk him off the hill by phone.
The team was called out at 17:08 on 1st May by West Yorkshire Police to assist with the search for a vulnerable missing person, reported missing in the Salendine Nook area of Huddersfield.
On Sunday 23rd April, the team carried out a stretcher handling exercise, which aimed to train team members on how to navigate difficult ground whilst carrying a loaded stretcher.
The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team spent much of Saturday 8th April searching woodland near Micklefield for a missing person. 25 team members were involved.
The team was called out at 10:45 am today to farmland near Lepton, where an elderly gentleman had collapsed whilst out walking with his family. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and medics from St John Ambulance also attended.
