A quick call out for the Team this afternoon to support the Yorkshire Ambulance Service We were called at 14.01pm to assist with an elderly person who had fallen in Woods at Oakwell Hall, Birstall.
On Saturday 21st October the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue team was asked to assist Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team with a search for a missing person near Selby, unfortunately with no result.
Our new team vehicle was used operationally for the first time during a call out during the evening of 8th October.
A new £58,000 response vehicle is now in the hands of the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team, following a six-week conversion programme carried out by Burnley-based Pickup Systems.

The team were called in today to assist Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team searching for an 84 year old lady missing from home near Doncaster.
The Team was called out this afternoon by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist with a ten-year old child who had fallen in woods near Golcar.
