Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team News
17th-18th March 2018 was another busy weekend for the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team.
The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team was called out at 14.30 this afternoon to assist a motorist who had left the road on the A640 near Buckstones Car Park.
The Team was called out this afternoon to rescue a walker who had fallen near March Haigh Reservoir and suffered a fracture to the lower part of his femur.
The dust is now settling after what can only be described as an epic couple of days for the team. The vehicles are cleaned down, kit is hung to dry, team members are getting back to their day jobs, the snow is melting and life is returning to normality.
The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team was called out this afternoon to search for a missing person in the Fartown area of Huddersfield.
Holme Valley MRT spent the afternoon of 30th December searching for a high risk missing person in the Methley area. We were joined by our colleagues from Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team.
Holme Valley MRT were placed on standby to assist the Yorkshire Ambulance Service during severe weather which was forecast for the morning of 29th December.
