17th-18th March 2018 was another busy weekend for the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team.
We spent Saturday afternoon searching for a high risk missing person in the Osmondthorpe area of Leeds. This was quickly followed by a call out from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist with a casualty near Marsden who had a suspected fractured leg.
Team members then stayed at HQ until 12.30am, providing severe weather standby cover for YAS and also patrolling the cross-Pennine routes for West Yorkshire Police.
After a brief stand down we were back at our HQ for a further period of severe weather cover from 7.30am until standing down at 1.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
