The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team received 56 callouts during 2023. This equated to 2,416 person-hours of activity – all provided at zero cost to our emergency services partners or the casualties themselves.
Of the 56 callouts:
- 41% were assisting West Yorkshire Police
- 39% were assisting the Yorkshire Ambulance Service
- 11% were assisting West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
To maintain our capabilities we carried our training and exercising through the year. The time taken in training and exercising added up to 23,144 person-hours in 2023!
