Salendine Nook call out

The team was called out at 17:08 on 1st May by West Yorkshire Police to assist with the search for a vulnerable missing person, reported missing in the Salendine Nook area of Huddersfield.

In less than an hour the team had 22 members on scene ready to commence a search of footpaths, fields, woodland and water margins in the vicinity, with dogs and handlers from Search And Rescue Dog Association England en route from as far afield as Settle and Chesterfield.

Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team were also ready to deploy 25 members to assist with the search.

Fortunately just as parties were being tasked, the missing person was located safe and well and all assets were stood down.
