The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team was called out at 2.10am on October 11th 2016 to assist West Yorkshire Police with a search for a missing person in the Bretton Common area.

The search continued through the day, finishing at approx. 6.45pm.

We were helped in the morning by search dogs from SARDA and Boris, the trailing search dog (pictured). In the afternoon Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team, Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team and our colleagues from Yorkshire Lowland Search and Rescue Team joined us in the search.
