Thank you to all that participated in the Rescue Ramble on Saturday 12th September. Although the weather was changeable everyone seemed in good spirits at the finish.
So far you have raised £600.00 with more sponsorship money to follow – thanks again from Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team.

Details of the event
This year’s Rescue Ramble started and finished at our new headquarters in Marsden (Grid Ref. 049 114 : Emergency House, Manchester Road, Marsden, Huddersfield, HD7 6EY).
There were three routes to choose from: 25 miles; 16 miles or 8 miles.
- The 24 mile and 16 mile routes included sections of the Meltham Way, Kirklees Way and Pennine Way as well as the old Packhorse trails around the area.
- The 8 mile route was a circular walk around the Wessenden Valley and also included a section of the Pennine Way.
This year we also introduced a short family walk, again starting and finishing from our HQ in Marsden. This took in the canal towpath and Tunnel End Reservoir along with the option of local lanes and tracks.
