HVMRT Called to assist stranded motorists
The Team was out again yesterday after the sudden burst of snow that dusted the country over the last couple of days. While travelling along the A640 to assist colleagues from Oldham MRT, HVMRT members came across motorists trapped in their vehicles near Buckstones.
Walker Rescued from the Moors above Marsden
The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team was called to assist a casualty yesterday after she got into difficulties while walking on Marsden Moor.
The 40-year-old from Marsden was walking with her husband and dog near Swellands reservoir when she stumbled.
